Native Florida Landscape Design
Your garden should be alive.
Not just pretty.
Native plants, hardscaping, and habitat gardens built for Tampa Bay. Florida Master Naturalist-led. Serving Tampa Bay since 2018.
Gardens
Your garden should work for you, not the other way around.
You're out there every weekend watering, mowing, replacing plants that keep dying. It shouldn't feel like a second job.
Native Florida plants are built for this climate. They handle heat, salt, storms, and drought. They bring in butterflies and birds without constant intervention.
We design landscapes built for Florida, not against it. Less work for you more natural living for your garden.
How we help →
How we help your property
Whether it's a full redesign or simply getting the right plants in the ground, we design around what Florida gives you.

Florida Native Landscape Design
A full garden design built around plants that belong in Florida. We match every element to your soil, sun, and water so it thrives without constant maintenance.

Hardscape Design
Patios, pathways, dry river beds, retaining walls—built to work with your landscape—not against it. Functional stonework that feels like it was always there.

Irrigation & Lighting
Florida's dry season (yes we have one of those) runs eight months—October through May. That's most of the year with under three inches of rain per month. We design irrigation that puts water exactly where your plants need it, so nothing dies waiting for June.

Permaculture Design
A garden that feeds you back. Edible gardens and food forests designed to produce year-round while rebuilding the soil underneath them. Grow what belongs here—and eat it too.

Specimen Tree Sourcing and Planting
Mature native trees placed for immediate impact—structure, shade, and presence from day one. No waiting ten years. Every tree sourced from trusted Florida growers who know what survives here.

Garden Maintenance & Monitoring
Your landscape changes with every season, even in Florida. We stay with it—pruning, adjusting—and watching for problems before they spread. Most gardens decline after install. Ours get better every year.

★★★★★ Google ReviewsKaimesha and team are top notch. 5+ stars! Every step of the process was professional and friendly. The design is presented in a comprehensive book with diagrams and a care guide. You pay for this but it is well worth the price. Highly recommend this team for your Florida native landscaping needs!

Kiamesha, Justus and the Team did a fantastic job transforming our backyard mess into a tropical paradise filled with native Florida plants. The nine oolite limestone boulders sourced from Miami make an added statement, and the almost 400 feet of pathways lined with limestone rocks makes for a great early morning coffee walk.

I hired Kiamesha and Living Spaces to revamp my front yard, and I couldn't be happier! They provided creative suggestions that enhanced the overall design. I was particularly impressed with how they integrated native plants that are also low-maintenance. I've received numerous compliments from neighbors already.

I highly recommend working with Living Spaces Gardening! Kiamesha and Justus created a design I loved that worked well for my space. I love that they only work with Florida natives and took the time to educate me on how all the plants work together. I've never seen so many birds and butterflies on my property!

Kiamesha, Justis, Osiris and Ether were a terrific team to put together a Florida native yard for me! The design was outstanding and the finished project looks amazing. In fact, it changes weekly (as planned). The rain garden is my favorite part!

Native yard + rain garden
Kia and her team did an amazing job at our new home in Dunedin. A native planting design that looks great and is easy to maintain. They showed up when they said they would, finished in the time frame they said and overwhelmed us when it was done. It also came at a fair price.

Kiamesha, Justice, and their team designed and installed a wonderful dry river bed in my front yard with all Florida native plants sourced from Wilcox Nursery. Her design was on point, the installation perfect, and the crew was professional and very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend them any more strongly.

Dry river bed + native plants
Our ho-hum suburban lawn has become a haven for butterflies, bees, and an occasional bunny. Pest insects are under control naturally. Kiamesha is available for consultation when we have questions. Some plants are overgrowing their new home, they're doing so well. We are grateful for the expertise and ongoing support.

Following a pool and accessory building construction, we needed total site grading, drainage, hardscape and landscape. We had our entire yard transformed by Living Spaces Gardening and are very happy with the results. Kiamesha, Justus and their team are great to work with.

Meet the family
The Wray-Weisensel Family
Kiamesha Wray and Justus Weisensel are the couple behind Living Spaces Gardening and Living Restorations. Family owned, family operated.
Kiamesha is a certified Florida Master Naturalist. She grew up on dig sites with her archaeologist mother and spent weekends camping along Florida's rivers and springs with her father. Justus is a premier woodworker and builder. He's the one grading your soil, placing the boulders, building the things that have to last.
Their kids fuel everything they do. Every native garden they restore is a piece of the Florida the next generation will inherit. Their crew has been with them for years. When they take on your project, these are the people who show up.
