Serving Clearwater, Florida
Native landscaping built for Clearwater.
From beachfront condos to inland ranches, Clearwater yards cover the full Florida spectrum. We design native landscapes for every condition the city throws at them, salt air on the coast, heavy soil inland, and hurricane risk everywhere.
Clearwater Gardens
A garden built for Clearwater, not shipped in from somewhere else.
Clearwater stretches from the Gulf beaches to inland neighborhoods miles from the water. The plants that thrive in Sand Key won't necessarily work in Countryside, and vice versa. We design for your specific corner of the city.
Coastal Clearwater properties deal with salt air, sandy soil, and storm surge risk. Inland Clearwater deals with heavier soil, summer flooding, and deeper shade from mature oaks. Native plants exist for every one of those conditions.
The common thread: everything we install is built for Florida. No replacement schedules. No fighting the climate. Just plants that belong here doing what they do naturally.

Good questions
Clearwater questions
about native landscaping
Clearwater Beach and the barrier islands get heavy salt air and poor sandy soil. Natives that thrive here include sea oats, beach sunflower, seagrape, saw palmetto, coontie, and gumbo limbo. These are the same species that grow naturally in the dunes and coastal hammocks nearby.
Yes. Hurricane-resistant landscaping is one of the most important things we do for Clearwater clients. Deep-rooted native trees like live oak, gumbo limbo, and cabbage palm anchor soil and resist storm winds better than shallow-rooted species like Bradford pears and certain ornamental palms.
Yes. Florida state law protects homeowners' rights to install Florida-Friendly landscaping, which includes native plants. We handle HOA communication and documentation as part of our design process when needed.
Inland Clearwater has heavier, less-draining soil and deeper tree canopies. Plants that struggle on the coast, red maple, bald cypress, cinnamon fern, wild coffee, often thrive here. We match the palette to the actual site conditions.
Our office is at 2621 4th Ave S in St. Petersburg, about 25 to 35 minutes from most of Clearwater depending on traffic. We work the area regularly.
Meet the family
The Wray-Weisensel Family
Kiamesha Wray and Justus Weisensel are the couple behind Living Spaces Gardening and Living Restorations. Family owned, family operated. Based in St. Petersburg since day one.
Kiamesha is a certified Florida Master Naturalist. She grew up on dig sites with her archaeologist mother and spent weekends camping along Florida's rivers and springs with her father. Justus is a premier woodworker and builder. He's the one grading your soil, placing the boulders, building the things that have to last.
Their kids fuel everything they do. Every native garden they restore is a piece of the Florida the next generation will inherit. Their crew has been with them for years. When they take on your project, these are the people who show up.
