Serving Tarpon Springs, Florida
Native landscaping built for Tarpon Springs.
Historic coastal character, unique soil, and a strong sense of place. Tarpon Springs yards deserve landscapes that honor the area's history and ecology. We design native gardens that look like they belong here.
Tarpon Springs Gardens
A garden built for Tarpon Springs, not shipped in from somewhere else.
Tarpon Springs has a mix of bayou, coastal, and inland conditions unlike anywhere else in Tampa Bay. Some yards sit on sandy dunes. Others are heavy clay. Some have salt air. Others are protected by mature canopy.
Our Tarpon Springs work has included some of our favorite projects ever, including a backyard transformation with crushed shell pathways and a bayou-adjacent landscape built with oolite limestone boulders from Miami.
Whatever your Tarpon Springs property needs, there's a native Florida plant palette that works for it. We design for the site, the history, and the homeowner's vision, not a generic template.

Good questions
Tarpon Springs questions
about native landscaping
Tarpon Springs has varied conditions, from coastal salt-adjacent yards to inland bayou properties. Common high-performing natives include live oak, cabbage palm, saw palmetto, seagrape, gumbo limbo, muhly grass, firebush, and coontie. We match the plant palette to your exact site.
Yes. Bayou-adjacent properties benefit from native plants that stabilize soil and filter stormwater, like cordgrass, Virginia willow, swamp milkweed, and bald cypress. We design with the waterway in mind, protecting it rather than polluting it.
Steve Jarae wrote about his Tarpon Springs project: "Kiamesha, Justus and the Team did a fantastic job transforming our backyard mess into a tropical paradise filled with native Florida plants. The nine oolite limestone boulders sourced from Miami make an added statement, and the almost 400 feet of pathways lined with limestone rocks makes for a great early morning coffee walk."
Yes. We have installed flagstone pathways, oolite limestone boulder features, and crushed shell walkways in Tarpon Springs. Every hardscape element is chosen to match the landscape and the town's historic character.
Our office is at 2621 4th Ave S in St. Petersburg, about 45 minutes from Tarpon Springs. We work the area regularly and know its specific soil, salt exposure, and ecology.
Meet the family
The Wray-Weisensel Family
Kiamesha Wray and Justus Weisensel are the couple behind Living Spaces Gardening and Living Restorations. Family owned, family operated. Based in St. Petersburg since day one.
Kiamesha is a certified Florida Master Naturalist. She grew up on dig sites with her archaeologist mother and spent weekends camping along Florida's rivers and springs with her father. Justus is a premier woodworker and builder. He's the one grading your soil, placing the boulders, building the things that have to last.
Their kids fuel everything they do. Every native garden they restore is a piece of the Florida the next generation will inherit. Their crew has been with them for years. When they take on your project, these are the people who show up.
